I'm currently the Global UX Manager at Randstad, working hands-on and leading teams of designers and researchers on different global projects for mobile and web-based products, unifying the user experiences of our 39 markets across the globe, while helping our global organization adopt a more customer-centric approach to product development.
As a part of different agile teams at TomTom, a major global player in the field of satellite navigation and mapping technologies, I was responsible for the user experience of several mobile apps for both Android and iOS. I also helped in the development of applications for desktop and web, and in-car dashboard navigation systems for our automotive customers.
For an Amsterdamer, it really sucks to figure out by what time you should leave if you want to catch the next ferry across the IJ. I was asked to help out in the concept development of Pontual, a simple app that takes advantage of your GPS position and readily available online time tables in order to let you know when to start cycling to catch that elusive ferry.
